Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has told defender Stephen Warnock he has no future at Villa Park.
The left-back has been told he is surplus to requirements by Lambert and is now training with the reserves. Warnock is believed to be on around £40,000 a week at Villa Park and Lambert is keen to offload the defender, either permanently or a on loan, before the transfer window closes. When asked about Warnock's future and the future of right-back Alan Hutton at a recent fans forum, Lambert said: "Regarding Alan (Hutton) and Stephen (Warnock) I just have to make decisions which I think are right." Lambert is eager to sign a new left-back before the transfer window closes and has been tipped to make a move for Ipswich Town youngster Aaron Cresswell. Warnock has been linked with a loan move to former club Blackburn with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.
