Euro 2012 star in Lambert's sights

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has been linked with a swoop for Denmark international defender Simon Poulsen.

Poulsen currently plays for Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar but is expected to move on in the summer after Euro 2012. The 27-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes in Denmark's win over the Netherlands, is expected to make a decision on his future after the tournament in Poland and Ukraine. However, Villa will face competition for the left-back as Dutch giants Ajax have also been linked with a swoop for Poulsen.
