Lambert gives Warnock update
Paul Lambert says no one has made a bid for Stephen Warnock and for now he remains on the sidelines at Aston Villa.
The new Villa boss has already made it clear that Warnock does not feature in his plans for the club and as such has made him, and Alan Hutton, available for transfer.
Sunderland are thought to be interested in Warnock, with former Villa boss Martin O'Neill keen to link up with a player he brought to Villa Park in 2009.
Despite the Black Cats supposed interest no offer has been forthcoming for Warnock, Lambert claiming the former Liverpool and Blackburn man is doing fine in the mean time.
"There's no update on Stephen Warnock or anything like that, it's just that that's the squad I chose that's all that I'll say about it really," said Lambert.
"He's done really, really fine."
