Aston Villa have been boosted by the news midfielder Brett Holman is fit for Sunday's derby clash against West Brom at Villa Park.
The Australia international missed the 4-2 extra time midweek Capital One Cup win at Manchester City because of a slight knee injury, but he has come through training since then and will be in Villa boss Paul Lambert's plans this weekend.
Holman's fitness is a timely boost given that midfielder Stephen Ireland is again ruled out with the cracked bone in his wrist suffered at Southampton last weekend, although he should be fit after the forthcoming international break.
Full-back Joe Bennett is facing a late fitness test ahead of the game after he picked up a knock to his leg at the Etihad Stadium.
Tuesday's two-goal hero Gabby Agbonlahor will be pushing Christian Benteke and Darren Bent for a place in the starting XI while Fabian Delph could be handed a role in midfield ahead of Barry Bannan after an impressive performance against the Premier League champions.
Charles N'Zogbia, who also found the net at City, is another player eyeing a place in the side against the Baggies, but Richard Dunne is still out because of a groin problem, along with long-term knee injury victim Gary Gardner.
