Midfielder move played down

Czech Republic midfielder Jaroslav Plasil has played down talk of a move to Aston Villa and says he is happy with Osasuna.

The highly-rated midfielder has been linked with a move to Villa Park as Martin O'Neill looks to strengthen his squad, while Fulham are also known to be keen.

Plasil will get a chance to shine when he turns out for the Czechs against England tomorrow night, but the player says he is staying in La Liga with Osasuna.

"The rumour of interest from English clubs does not affect my game," Plasil told setantasports.com. "The club have not received any official offers and are not interested in selling me."
