Villa new boy Ashley Westwood is looking forward to making his home debut against high-flying Swansea on Saturday.

The former Crewe captain is in line to be given a debut by Paul Lambert and revealed that, if he plays, it will be his second appearance at Villa - but in marked contrast to his first visit in his former club's colours. "We played in the Youth Cup and got beat 3-1," said Westwood. "Barry Bannan played and Nathan Delfouneso was a handful that day. "But that was in front of 200 people and this will be a bit different. Being a young lad it's where you want to play and playing at places like Villa Park, even for the youth team, makes you want to get down to work and work harder. "Instead of a few hundred there's going to be 30,000 here so it's going to be a massive difference, but it's one I'm looking forward to if I'm involved." Westwood has done well for the reserves since arriving from Gresty Road and indications are he has a real chance of a full debut.
