Aston Villa duo Stiliyan Petrov and Luke Young should be fit to face Arsenal but John Carew is doubtful for the clash.
Petrov has been struggling with a hamstring injury for the last couple of weeks, while Young was forced to miss the defeat against Middlesbrough on Sunday with a thigh problem.
The duo are making good progress and should be fit for the trip to the Emirates Stadium but the same cannot be said for Carew who has a hip problem.
"John went for scans on Tuesday and saw the specialist yesterday," said O'Neill. "Those scans have been pretty good ones but he is still feeling discomfort at the front now, so he is seeing a specialist.
"It is a problem that has been coming on. He has certainly exacerbated it in Prague. We were hoping it would be okay but it seems to have caught up with him at the moment. We are trying to do everything to get him ready.
"Petrov and Luke Young are making good progress. I would be hoping that this week, with some training for both of them, they will be in contention."
