O'Neill out of striker race

Aston Villa are being linked with a move for Middlesbrough striker Tuncay but the player looks set to sign for Fenerbahce.

Villa have been linked with a £5million swoop for the Turkey international following Boro's relegation to the Championship but a return to his homeland looks to be on the cards.

Sources close to Villa say O'Neill had held a slight interest in the player but he has decided against making a move and is turning his attentions elsewhere.

Meanwhile reports claim that Fenerbahce are ready to take Tuncay back to Turkey and the forward looks set to accept the chance to return to his former club after two years at Boro.
