Rift rumours denied

Aston Villa officials have blasted reports suggesting Martin O'Neill has had a bust up with Randy Lerner over transfer policy.
Villa have become a real force in the Premier League since O'Neill took charge but he could not have done it without Lerner's support in the transfer market.
However reports have now claimed that the American will tighten the purse strings in the summer, something which has not gone down well with the Villa boss.
Despite the speculation Villa director Charles Krulak insists there is no problem between the two and says Lerner himself has rubbished the rift rumours.
"The second I read the article, I asked Randy about it," Krulak revealed. "His answer was 'rubbish'. Both Randy and Martin are on the same sheet of music and both know where the club needs to go."
