Striker interest confirmed

Aston Villa, 11:31, June 16, 2009 ,

Hull boss Phil Brown has revealed that Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood is on his list of potential summer transfer targets.

The Tigers boss failed in an attempt to sign the former West Ham man during January's transfer window, but it appears as though he could go back in for Harewood in the close season.
It is believed Villa will allow the 29-year-old to move on if they receive a fee in the region of £1.5million and despite already making bids for Fraizer Campbell and Marc-Antoine Fortune, Harewood is an option for Brown.
The Hull boss admitted to the Hull Daily Mail: "Players with Premier League experience would interest us and Marlon Harewood is that type of player.
"He's got good ability and he's a big and powerful forward. He is the type of player that we are looking for and there's interest from us."
Brown though has refused to comment on whether Hull had made a firm bid for Harewood - who has just one year remaining on his current Villa contract.
