Charles N'Zogbia is vowing to improve for Aston Villa and score more goals for Paul Lambert's side following a poor debut campaign.

The 26-year-old France international joined Villa just over 12 months ago when former boss Alex McLeish paid Wigan £9.5million for his signature. And, despite arriving with a reputation for chipping in with goals from his time at the DW Stadium and Newcastle before that, N'Zogbia disappointed last term as he managed just two in 30 appearances.
Lambert has since replaced McLeish in the Villa Park hot-seat and N'Zobia hopes it will bring about a change in fortunes for him personally looking ahead to this season.
"I definitely need to be getting a few more goals and a few more assists," N'Zogbia told the Birmingham Mail.
"That would be good and it would be good to be happy playing for Villa.
"The thing I've got in my mind is just to play my best, to show my skills and that would be a good start."
