Andreas Weimann has praised Paul Lambert's 'enjoyable' training methods at Aston Villa claiming they are 'quick and sharp and fun'.
The 21-year-old Austrian hitman was speaking out after participating in an open training session in front of the club's young supporters at Villa Park on Monday. And, he feels Lambert has helped to inject a new sense of enjoyment into the training regime in the build up to matches which has left the players not knowing what they will be doing from one session to the next. Wiemann, who is behind the likes of Darren bent, Gabby Agbonlahor and Christian Benteke in the pecking order for first team football this season, told the club's website: "Training is great for a professional footballer because we love to play. That will never leave anyone. "But the sessions at Villa at the moment are really great. It's always quick and sharp and fun. It's really enjoyable. "It tests us obviously and gets us improving and there's real focus about us out there and we're playing at our very best. "But it's great to be involved in too because it's fun. We love it. You see everyone smiling every day when we go out to train and after the session also because we've enjoyed it. "The training sessions are always different. We never seem to do the same thing every day. "There are similar things but it's never the same session. It's great that the coaches keep switching things."
