Barnsley pair Rob Edwards and Scott Golbourne are hoping to prove their fitness in time for the home game with Cardiff.
Centre-half Edwards sustained a dead-leg in Monday's draw at Blackpool, while full-back Golbourne was struggling with an unspecified knock that kept him out. But manager Keith Hill could be boosted by the return of winger Matt Done, following a hamstring strain, and defender Bobby Hassell, who has been sidelined with a knee injury. Midfielders David Perkins and Jim O'Brien should be included in the squad despite suffering from "fatigue" after the two Easter weekend games having only recently returned from injury. Skipper Jacob Butterfield (knee) and goalkeeper Luke Steele (abdomen) remain sidelined as the Tykes chase three more points to guarantee their safety following a poor run of just one win in 11 matches.
