No decision on legal action

Barnsley, 12:17, November 12, 2008

Barnsley are to wait until they have spoken to Iain Hume before deciding on whether to take any legal action against Chris Morgan.

Hume is in hospital after undergoing surgery on a fractured skull following a clash with Morgan at the weekend and club general manager Don Rowling says they will speak to the player before taking any further action.

Rowling said: "We need to speak with the player to decide how to proceed.

"It will have to wait until he is much better."

Meanwhile team boss Simon Davey has been to see the player in hospital and told the Sheffield Star: "He has tubes sticking out of his skull. The operation went well but he is very down and very angry. He has a scar that runs from his forehead in the shape of a horseshoe right round to his ear.

"He is black and blue, his head is swollen and he is a mess."
