Tykes defender set to commit

Barnsley, 15:54, June 15, 2009 ,

Simon Davey says he expects Rob Kozluk to sign a new contract with Barnsley when the defender returns from holiday.

The former Sheffield United man saw his previous Tykes deal expire earlier this month, with Barnsley already offering him the chance to extend his stay at Oakwell.
The 31-year-old is seemingly keen to remain for a third season and the Tykes boss remains confident that the defender will still be part of his squad for the new campaign.
Davey told the BBC: "We've offered Rob a one-year deal and I fully expect him to sign it.
"He's a key member of our squad and the only reason he hasn't put pen to paper yet is because he is away on holiday."
Meanwhile, Davey though has played down talk that he will look to sign Liverpool winger Adam Hamill on loan, after he impressed at Oakwell last season.
