Tykes face Boro in season's opener

Barnsley will host Middlesbrough on the opening day of the 2012/13 npower Championship season.

The Tykes, who finished just one place above the relegation zone last season, then visit Wolves and Brighton. A visit to Leeds comes on October 6, with the return fixture at Elland Road on January 12, while there are other Yorkshire derbies at Oakwell against Huddersfield on November 10 and Sheffield Wednesday on December 15. The Tykes make the short trip to Hillsborough on March 30 before closing their season against the Terriers on May 4. Their festive season sees back-to-back home games with Birmingham and Blackburn on December 26 and 29 respectively before visiting Peterborough on January 1.
