Addicks opener for Blues

Birmingham will begin life under a new manager by hosting Charlton on the first day of the 2012/13 npower Championship season.

Blues, who are yet to replace Chris Hughton, then hit the road to Sheffield Wednesday and Watford. The first Black Country derby of the season comes when Wolves visit St Andrew's on December 8, with the return fixture on April 1. A Boxing Day trip to Barnsley is followed by a visit to Bolton three days later, with January 1 seeing Cardiff visit the West Midlands. Their season comes to a close on May 4 when they host Blackburn.
