Algerian ace set for Blues deal

Birmingham City, 16:51, January 6, 2009 ,

Birmingham have been linked with a swoop for Fulham winger Hameur Bouazza, who is currently on loan at Championship rivals Charlton.

The 23-year-old Algerian international joined the Addicks earlier in the campaign on loan. But it seems that Blues boss Alex McLeish will take advantage of a clause in that deal, which allows him to move on in the transfer window, by taking him to St Andrews for the rest of the season.
City are in need of attacking reinforcements after sending Quincy Owusu-Abeyie back to Spartak Moscow following his disappointing loan spell. However the news will come as a blow to Charlton boss Phil Parkinson as Bouazza has played a key part for his struggling side.
