Blues chief wants three more players
Birmingham City, 10:26, August 14, 2009 ,
Boss Alex McLeish wants to add three more players to his Birmingham squad after landing left-back Gregory Vignal on a one-year deal.
Former Liverpool youngster Vignal, now 28, just needs to complete the formalities of a medical as McLeish looks for cover, with David Murphy out with a knee injury and Franck Queudrue short of match fitness.
Vignal will sign a 12-month deal with an option of a further year but McLeish is still looking for more signings, with Sporting Gijon midfielder Michel a confirmed target.
The Scot said: "We are not equipped for the Premier League as things stand now. We still need three more players, at least."
McLeish has central defensive injury problems to contend with for the trip to Manchester United on Sunday.
