Birmingham City threw away a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest, who preserved their unbeaten start to the npower Championship campaign.
All the goals came in an entertaining second half at the City Ground. After having the better of the first half, Forest found themselves behind courtesy of goals from Hayden Mullins and Marlon King in the space of three minutes. Substitute Simon Cox quickly pulled one back for the hosts with a superb effort after 73 minutes before another sub, Dan Harding, levelled things up with four minutes remaining. With Cox only fit enough for the bench following a foot injury sustained while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, fellow summer signing Billy Sharp made his full debut for Forest alongside Dexter Blackstock in attack. Birmingham currently lie in 21st position having taken just five points from their first five matches.
