Blues star set for spell out
Birmingham City, 13:24, February 5, 2009 ,
Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has revealed striker James McFadden will be out for up to two months with his knee injury.
The Scotland international picked up the injury in the game against Derby at the end of January and was sent to see a specialist for tests.
They have revealed he will be out of action for eight weeks in what is a big blow to Birmingham's promotion challenge.
McLeish said: "We took Faddy to see a top specialist and the verdict was that there was no cruciate damage, which was good, but there was medial ligament damage.
"It will rule him out for about two months, which is a blow. Eight weeks, that looks like the maximum, but you never know and I don't really like to put timescales on injuries."
