McLeish rules out Shevchenko swoop

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has dismissed reports linking him with a January move for striker Andriy Shevchenko.
Rumours circulated earlier in the week that Blues owner Carson Yeung was eager to bring the former AC Milan and Chelsea striker back to the Premier League.
However, McLeish claims to know nothing about a move for Shevchenko, now at Dinamo Kiev, but admitted he is keen to strengthen in January.
"Sammy (Yu, the Blues vice-chairman) has not told me that." McLeish told Sky Sports News. "I read it in the paper, but I've not heard anything about Shevchenko.
"We have got to see if certain players want to come to Birmingham as well as a load of other obstacles, but we will try and enhance the squad, enhance the quality with three maybe four players,"
