Saints try and block Blues move
Birmingham City, 14:09, October 20, 2010 , | 6 Comments
Southampton have made an offer to exciting midfielder Adam Lallana in an effort to prevent him from moving to Birmingham.
The former England U21 international scored 20 goals last season which brought him to the attention of a host of clubs of which Birmingham appear to be the keenest.
Blues boss Alex McLeish is set to make a move in January for the player who is out of contract next summer, but Southampton are trying to ward off any deal by offering him a lucrative three year deal to stay at St Mary's.
Here are some betting tips from Betfair's tipsters:

Adam Lallana needs to think carefully and learn from the mistakes of others who moved to Premiership clubs - Theo Wallcock sat on the side lines for a long time, Ian Baird - Fulham, Andrew Surman - Wolves, he would be best to stay and continue to learn his trade with the Saints
