Birmingham have been boosted by the news Gary McSheffrey has recovered from a knee injury and could face Burnley.
Blues boss Alex McLeish is without James McFadden for the next two months after he picked up medial knee ligament damage in the league game against Derby last month and the return of McSheffrey is welcome news.
Cameron Jerome is again in line to start after figuring in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday last week, but fellow striker Garry O'Connor is still out with a groin injury.
