Striker ruled out

Birmingham City, 17:09, February 20, 2009 ,

Birmingham will be without Garry O'Connor against Coventry this weekend after player suffered a setback with his groin.

The striker is facing another few weeks on the sidelines and that is a big blow for Blues boss Alex McLeish, who is already without Kevin Phillips and Gary McSheffrey.
It means McLeish goes into the game against the Sky Blues with Cameron Jerome and Marcus Bent as recognised strikers.
"I think Garry is going to be out for another two or three weeks. He's had a little problem with stiffness around about his groin," McLeish said of the situation.
"He had that operation and he's come back, but he's not kicking fully through the ball and you can see there is still a bit of a tentative look about him."
