Blackburn Rovers news

The Rovers are one of only three teams to be founder members of both the Football League and the Premier League. In 1995 the club under manager Kenny Dalglish won the league championship on the final day of the season, thanks largely to the lavish spending of benefactor Jack Walker.

Paul Ince succeeded Mark Hughes as Rovers boss in June 2008 to become the first black British manager in England's top division.

André Ooijer, Ryan Nelsen and Brett Emerton are favourites among the current squad while players like Derek Fazackerley, Simon Garner, Walter Crook and of course Alan Shearer are heroes from the past.
