Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has hailed his players after the win at Bolton and is hopeful of returning to work soon.
Allardyce missed out on a return to the Reebok Stadium after it was revealed he needs to undergo an angioplasty which is an operation to widen an artery in his heart using an artificial tube.
In his absence Rovers ran out 2-0 winners over Bolton and Allardyce, who was allowed to watch a recording of the game after he knew the result, was delighted with the display.
"I'm delighted we got the three points and a clean sheet. It certainly made me feel better," Allardyce revealed.
It is unclear when Allardyce will be back behind his desk but the Rovers boss believes it will be within 10 days of the operation.
"I was pleased with our performance," he added. "I'm optimistic I'll be back to work soon."
