Blackburn co-owner Venkatesh Rao has asked for the club's fans to remain patient as Steve Kean's position as manager remains unclear.

Kean travelled to India last week for talks, but a decision on his future is yet to be made and Rao has admitted that "everything is in confusion" at Ewood Park regarding the manager's future. Rao expects a decision to be made within the next month and has called on the fans and press to exercise patience as Venky's consider their options. "In the next month let us see what happens. I really don't know on that issue because we are talking about various things, so many - about the manager, about the players, about staff, about the club," said Rao. "Nothing will be said right away. Kindly bear with us for some time and then the whole picture will be clear." Reports suggest that Kean has the backing of Venky's chairwoman Anuradha Desai, but it is believed Rao and his brother Balaji Rao are ready to wield the axe on the current Rovers boss. There has also been talk that Kean could be moved into another position at the club if the decision is made to end his tenure as manager at Ewood Park.
