Chimb out on a limb at Rovers
Full-back Pascal Chimbonda is set to be shown the Blackburn Rovers exit door in January's transfer window, according to reports.
Press reports suggest the 31-year-old former Wigan, Tottenham and France international will be sacrificed as part of the expected changes following the club's takeover by ambitious Indian group Venky's. Chimbonda has featured in the last five Blackburn games in the Premier League, but that does not appear to be enough to save him from the axe. The news will be a blow to the player given that Rovers blocked his planned £500,000 move to West Ham in the summer and sold Lars Jacobsen to the Londoners instead.
