Defender fears for future

Blackburn Rovers, 17:09, November 10, 2008

Blackburn defender Andre Ooijer could be ready to move on if Paul Ince pursues his interest in Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha.

The 34-year-old Dutchman is due to fall out of contract in the summer and has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland if he does not secure another deal with Rovers.

AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven have been strongly linked with a move for the player and Ince will be willing to let him go if he can draft Onuoha in as a replacement.

Onuoha could be pushed out at Eastlands as City look to spend big again in January and Ince would love to bring him to Ewood Park.

That could signal the end of Ooijer who has been quoted as saying: "My contract is finishing. I do not know what is going to happen."
