Blackburn say talks are ongoing with David Dunn and are confident the midfielder will sign a new deal.
Dunn is due to fall out of contract in the summer and there had been suggestions that all was not well as the player was unhappy at being offered a pay-as-you-play deal.
However chairman John Williams has dismissed such claims and insists talks are going well as both parties look to secure a contract extension for the Rovers star.
"It has all been very positive," Williams said in a brief statement to the Lancashire Telegraph. "Both parties want the deal to happen and negotiations are still ongoing."
