Blackburn have been hit by the news Brett Emerton is facing a spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.
The Australian picked up the problem during last night's 2-1 defeat at Birmingham and boss Sam Allardyce admits the midfielder is looking at some time on the treatment table.
"Brett has got a groin injury," Allardyce said after the defeat at St Andrews. "I don't know what it was, he was feeling okay before the game, there were no problems.
"It is a shame, it was a cold night, two days after the Hull match, these things happen."
Emerton will definitely miss the game against Tottenham this weekend but Rovers hope to have Vince Grella and David Dunn back for the Spurs clash.
"But we aren't too bad for injuries at the moment, we will have Vince back on Saturday, and we hope Dunn will be back too, we'll see how he is," Allardyce added.
