Danny Murphy is confident he can withstand the rigours of life in the npower Championship with Blackburn.
Murphy ended a five-season stay at Fulham last week when he penned a two-year deal at Ewood Park, and the 35-year-old is expected to be the first arrival of an extensive recruitment drive overseen by under-fire manager Steve Kean. "The amount of games is more difficult, but that's even more reason why you need the strength in depth," said Murphy regarding the prospect of his increased workload. "The Championship is eight games more than the Premier League and I've thought about that as well, but for two out of the last three years I've played Europa League with Fulham. "If you look at my own personal games I've not got a problem with it. In fact I'm better when I'm playing more games than less - a lot of older players seem that way. "The Championship is a tough league, there's no doubt about that. It's down to Steve and the club to make sure that the squad improves enough for us to have a successful season. I think the squad already has really good quality and with the type of people they're trying to get in, I think it's going to be a really exciting year."
