New boy "trusts" Rovers

Benjani says he believes he will get the backing needed by Sam Allardyce, as he seeks a turnaround in fortunes at Ewood Park.

The 32-year-old was released by big-spenders Manchester City having had a frustrating two year spell at Eastlands, which saw him score just four goals in 23 league appearances after a frustrating time with injuries.
Benjani, who could face his old club next weekend, has warned City that "money is not everything" and the striker feels he can be a success at Rovers, where he wants to feel "loved again".
The Zimbabwe international told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I would prefer to be here without all those facilities and be happy and to be able to trust everyone around me.
"It seemed like behind the scenes at Manchester City there is no class."
Benjani added: "If you look a year back they bought eight or nine players. I think six or seven of those are already on their way out.
"That's what I mean about trust. So you need to be loved even if you change the manager."
