Vince Grella looks set to miss Blackburn's trip to Aston Villa through injury but Chris Samba is in line to return to action.
Australia ace Grella is struggling with a hamstring niggle that he picked up against Middlesbrough on Saturday and manager Paul Ince is unlikely to risk him in the Midlands.
There is better news though concerning Samba who has recovered from an ankle injury, but Ince says that Andre Ooijer could keep him out of the side.
"We are unsure with Vince, he felt his hamstring at half-time against Middlesbrough but he wanted to carry on," Ince told the club's official website. "He was outstanding to be fair, but because of that, because he was brave, he is a doubt for tomorrow.
"Chrissy Samba is back fit now but Andre Ooijer did ever so well at centre half so it is another headache."
