Rovers chief future mystery
Steve Kean's future as Blackburn boss remains uncertain as the club's owners Venkys have yet to reveal if he remains in their plans.
The Rovers chief has been the subject of conflicting media reports over the weekend with some suggesting the Scot was about to be axed from the Ewood Park hot-seat, while others claimed he will be allowed to stay on and try and guide the club back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Kean returned from two days of face-to-face talks with the owners in India late last week, but it appears he remains in discussions with the club matriarch Anuradha Desai who it is claimed will have the final say on his future. In the meantime co owners Venkatesh and Balaji Rao, along with advisers and board members, have been calling for the Scot to be shown the door after he failed to keep Rovers in the Premier League. The Lancashire Telegraph has also suggested that Kean could be replaced as manager but be retained by Rovers in another role going into the Championship season.
