Rovers lose front man
Nick Blackman has completed his move from Rovers to League one outfit Sheffield United after agreeing a two-year deal.
The young striker has today agreed terms with the Yorkshire side after failing to break into the first team while at Rovers. Blackman, 22, spent time on loan with Blackpool and Aberdeen since joining from Macclesfield Town in January 2009. He has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with an option of a third and could make his debut at home to Burton Albion tomorrow in the Capital One Cup. Steve Kean's side struggled to compete in the top tier of English football last season and are now looking to rebuild and make an immediate return back into the Premier League. It is believed that the exit of Blackman could pave the way for Jordan Rhodes to join Blackburn after months of speculation over the young Scot's future.
