Wanderers join queue for Mokoena

Blackburn Rovers, 09:24, October 8, 2008

Bolton have joined the clamour of Premier League clubs hoping to sign Blackburn outcast Aaron Mokoena, according to reports.

The South African midfielder, whose contract expires next summer, faces an uncertain stay at Ewood Park after failing to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the Ewood Park engine room since his arrival in January 2005 from Genk for £300,000.

Ewood officials will be aware the former Ajax man will be in a position to leave for free next summer, so may decide to cash in on his desire for first-team football.

Mokoena's last appearance for Rovers came in the 4-1 win over Grimsby in the Carling Cup on August 27.
