Defender set to sign

Blackpool, 16:01, August 6, 2008 ,

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson is close to wrapping up another signing as Rob Edwards is poised to arrive from Wolves.

Grayson has had a busy week wrapping up deals for Mo Camara and David Vaughan and now the experienced Edwards is also set to sign on at Bloomfield Road.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy pulled Edwards out of the friendly against Stafford Rangers and a deal will go through once the clubs sort out the fee, thought to be in the region of £250,000.
"Rob's been talking to Blackpool and he didn't play last night because I didn't think it was worth the risk," said McCarthy. "I think it will go through. I'd love to see him play first-team football because that's what he needs."
