Grayson bemoans penalty decision
Blackpool, 15:46, August 25, 2008 ,
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has hit out at the decision to award Sheffield United a penalty during the game at Bloomfield Road.
Sheffield United were leading 1-0 courtesy of a Stephen Quinn goal before referee Scott Mathieson awarded a penalty after Shaun Barker was judged to have pulled Ugo Ehiogu's shirt.
Grayson was fuming with the decision and claims his team need to be more ruthless if they are to survive in the Championship.
"It was never a penalty." Said Grayson.
"I have watched the DVD and can not understand how the referee came to his decision.
"I don't want to get into trouble over this but it was a case of two players rightly competing for the ball.
"This is going to be a long hard season for us and we need to be more ruthless."
