Hendrie tipped to find old form

Blackpool, 17:34, November 19, 2008

Simon Grayson has been impressed with loan man Lee Hendrie so far and is confident he can rediscover his top form at Blackpool.

Hendrie joined the Seasiders from Championship rivals Sheffield United on a month-long loan deal and featured as a late substitute in Sunday's 3-1 home defeat against derby rivals Preston. And, after seeing him on the training ground this week, Grayson hinted that the former Aston Villa man could secure his first start in this weekend's trip to Championship leaders Wolves.

The Seasiders boss is also hopeful that Hendrie can recapture the form which once saw him capped by England.

He said: "He's a good player and has had some good experience.

"He was an England player at one stage and hopefully he rekindles a little bit of spark that he's lost over the last few months by not being in Sheffield United's team.

"Hopefully their loss is our gain and he works out for us."
