Midfielder set for derby bow

Blackpool, 09:14, November 30, 2009 ,

Blackpool could hand a debut to Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan when they take on Preston tonight.

Bannan will spend the next two months on loan at Bloomfield Road and boss Ian Holloway could be tempted to throw him straight in against North End although a place on the bench looks more likely.
Midfielder Ishmel Demontagnac is available after completing a three-match suspension, while Hameur Bouazza is also available following international duty.
Meanwhile, Holloway has called for his players to keep their heads in what is sure to be a hotly contested derby clash.
"This is a game of football where the intensity of the tackles and the work-rate of both teams will go up a notch, but we just need to play with our heads and not our hearts," Holloway told the club's website.
"Preston are a side that have always been up and around the play-offs for as long as I can remember. We're not used to being up there in this division at the moment, so it's up to us to continue what we're doing and not get carried away with it.
"We currently have a great record at home this season that they could take from us and I don't want to relinquish it easily."
