New boy to face Macc lads

Blackpool, 16:34, August 11, 2008 ,

Blackpool are set to start with new signing Sone Aluko when they take on Macclesfield in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old, who has signed on loan from Birmingham, came on as a second-half substitute against Bristol City on Saturday but is now in line to start against Macc.
Boss Simon Grayson is delighted with the signing and thinks he will be a good addition.
"He's a decent player and our scouts saw quite a bit of him when he was in Scotland," said Grayson. "We've got three strikers out injured, with Stephen McPhee not fit enough to be involved, so we felt we needed someone else and Aluko is a player we liked.
"Fortunately we were able to get the deal done in time and it was nice to give him a taste of the action. I think he'll be another good acquisition."
