Ollie lines up DJ

Blackpool, 11:37, July 29, 2010 ,

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has confirmed he has tabled a club record bid for a striker, thought to be DJ Campbell.

Campbell enjoyed a productive loan stay with the Seasiders last season and Holloway is keen to bring the striker back to Bloomfield Road.
Holloway confirmed the club had "smashed" their club record, currently £500,000 paid for Charlie Adam last summer, with two bids as he looks to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League.
It has been confirmed by Ipswich that Blackpool have had a bid accepted for striker Jon Stead, while Leicester man Campbell is believed to be the other subject of Holloway's transfer activity and the Seasiders boss hinted it was indeed the 28-year-old Foxes forward.
"We smashed our record yesterday with a couple of offers. That sums up what we are trying to do," said Holloway.
He added: "You don't need to be a rocket scientist to think about who we haven't got who scored in vital games for us."
Ipswich have accepted Blackpool's offer for Stead, while Leicester are thought to be considering the offer.
