Olly eyes loan departures

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has hinted that the club could look to the loan market to hand first team experience to some players.
The Seasiders currently have 45 professionals on the books at Bloomfield Road and Holloway believes loan spells away from the club can bring nothing but good things for the players. The Blackpool boss sent out Matt Phillips to Sheffield United for three months last season. After impressing and bagging five goals, he returned and became one of the most sought after players in the league. Now, Holloway plans to do the same with his other squad members. The size of the team has been a talking point on a few occasions but Holloway believes the competition for places in the side causes the players to work harder for a place in his side. "If people aren't getting games here, I have the luxury of being able to loan people out to keep them up to speed," said Holloway." "The situations we've found ourselves in for the last few years is that anyone playing in the games outside the first team, haven't been playing at the standard they need to."
