Seasiders close in on Caton deal

Ian Holloway has confirmed Blackpool are close to securing a deal with trialist James Caton.

The Seasiders' manager has been impressed by the teenage winger, likening him to Matt Phillips and Tom Ince.
Caton has played three pre-season matches for the Bloomfield Road club following his release from Bolton, scoring in a 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "Hopefully he'll get a medical sorted and things are already agreed.
"I can't wait to work with him and see what he can achieve."
Holloway added: "When I first got Matt and Incey they were impact players, and James could be one of those this season.
"He's only 18 at the moment, so I've got two years to make him into someone like Tom Ince who's 20."
