Thompson confident over Adam
Blackpool, 14:38, March 31, 2011
Blackpool assistant boss Steve Thompson says he expects Charlie Adam to be fully fit for Sunday's clash with Fulham.
The Seasiders captain went down in a heap while playing for Scotland against Brazil last Sunday and there were fears he had picked up a knee injury during the clash.
However, Adam has returned to Bloomfield Road without any problems and Thompson expects him to be fully fit when the team head to west London this weekend.
"Charlie had a clash of knees in the Scotland game but he hasn't reported to (Pool physio) Phil Horner, so there should be no problems there," Thompson told the Gazette.
"Both Charlie and Stephen Crainey (who also played against Brazil at Arsenal) were a little bit stiff and leggy in their first training session back. We are monitoring them.
"That is important when lads come back from international duty. You have to make sure they don't pick up any silly pulls, but at the same time you have to make sure they are ready to go again on Sunday."
