Thompson looking for Adam to keep on scoring
Blackpool, 12:49, January 26, 2010 ,
Blackpool assistant Steven Thompson believes Captain Charlie Adam should be aiming for the 20-goal mark this season.
The Scot has already bagged 12 goals so-far this season, including four in his last four games and is the club's leading scorer in their charge for the play-offs.
Adam is currently enjoying a rich vein of form and Thompson is hoping the highly-rated midfielder can continue his goalscoring exploits to help Blackpool in their promotion push.
Thompson told the club website: "We set him a target of double figures and we were hoping he'd perhaps get to that in the latter stages of the season.
"But now he's already there by January we're hoping he'll get to the latter stages of double figures and get 18 or 19 goals."
