Vaughan made to wait
Blackpool, 18:11, August 12, 2008 ,
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson says new boy David Vaughan is not 100 percent fit and will not play until he is.
The Seasiders record signing is behind the rest of the squad in terms of fitness and Grayson says he will not play him until he has full-match sharpness.
That means Vaughan will not play against Macclesfield in the Carling Cup tonight.
"He is a quality player and we're glad to have him here but he's still not 100 per cent fit - only 70 or 80 per cent - so he was never going to start on Saturday," Grayson revealed.
"If we can integrate him into the team from the bench over the next few games, coupled with the extra training sessions he is getting, then he will get his fitness. He is not quite ready."
