Alfei injury blow for Wrexham
Latest news update:
Wrexham boss Andy Morrell has been hit by the news on-loan defender Danny Alfei faces several weeks out because of a hamstring injury.
The full-back suffered the problem during Saturday's 0-0 draw against Forest Green Rovers and will subsequently miss Wales Under-21s' friendly clash against Iceland in Llanelli on Wednesday afternoon.
It is not known how serious the injury is but the fears are Alfei is set to miss some Blue Square Premier fixtures for the Dragons.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old central defender Martin Riley has vowed to play on for Wrexham despite an X-ray confirming that he suffered a fracture to his hand against Southport last week.
Riley, who played that game and then the full 90 minutes against Forest Green at the weekend, insists he wants to play on with a protective cast when Wrexham face Stockport County at The Racecourse on Saturday.
